Guest guest
this is a good topic. I don't think we talk enough about it here. I have been meaning to post lately about isometric exercise for muscles and range of motion for joints. My doctor would always prescribe physical therapy in office or at home during these times. For some who don't know it is the slow process of extending the joint to it's full range and isometric can be done in bed. It is tightening and releasing each muscle group and number of times. I urge members to ask their doctors about these forms of treatment and therapy as most can give you information printed on a sheet or many have had this therapy while in hospital at onset or severe flairs when they were bedridden for any period of time. Thank you for bringing this up. Once you loose your muscle and joint movement I don't believe you get it back so this is very important. Melt Muscle Atrophy ? Guest guest
Hi , My muscle pain has been much worse than joint pain or any other symptom. Lately, however, I seem to be having more joint pain as well. Muscle pain still worse though. > Heh i was wondering if anyone else has found that the muscle pain and loss there of were or are presently acually worse than the jiont pain.I know with me it was my muscle pain thats why im curius(or is this another one of those weird things that only some Stilligans experience i know Jules has muscle atrophy).Im not even sure if what i had is considered muscle atrophy acually one of the things i was really worried about was would my strength acually ever come back, but it has so happy happy.Hope everyone is feeling bettter as i know alot of you are in that not so pleasant grasp of the dragon.take care. d.Canada
Guest guest
I thought soo too Melt the damage stills can cause in this area is not talked about all that much(i still feel alot of what i beleive is more muscle & nerve damage, sure doesnt feel like joint pain).Esp in my neck although much better now(i went through quite a bit of physical therapy, and i couldnt really tell if it acually helped),i was given a muscle exersize for my neck,it was acually hard to get used to.I was told to put a small rolled up towel under my neck, laying down i would bring my head up very very slowly making sure to use the inner muscles to strenghten them, the toughest part is using the right muscles,if you are you can feel it because with your hand lightly on your throat while doing it you can feel it firm up if your doing it wrong.(all of this was about the time i was getting the tension headaches,i geuss anything you can do to keep somewhat limber will help Eh).Prestills my neck would crack when i tilted side to side you know crack!! crack!! one way then the other and i would be good to go LOL my neck doesnt even crack anymore it tends to make alot more sinister noises now ohh well its really all not that bad considering how it was before, take care. d.Canada Muscle Atrophy ?
