Guest guest
Is your Pre-K a public or private one? The rules change once he is in Kindergarten, but if it's a publicly funded school, you have have some ground to stand on. > > I have twin 4 year old sons. One with Autism and one the ADHD. Cole has the ADHD and is in 4 year old Pre-k. He is having real struggles with impulsive behavior and tantrums. He already sees an outside play therapist and we have a behavior chart. My question is, the school has been no help at all either with the teacher or guidence dept, but they want these behaviors changed NOW. I live in South Carolina. Does anyone have any idea what services or help I am entitled to through the school system? They act as though they are on the verge of kicking him out! >
Guest guest
Hi Mindy,In this economic crises, it is getting difficult for any state to find money to help minorities of any kind. SC is not one of the richest. However, There is a solution. Go to: http://drbate.content/integrated.shtml This a 4 part therapy for autism that does work for ADHD within a few months, and for autism over several months. Since it's all done at home, it is relatively inexpensive. There are lots of free articles on testing, nutrition, and much other alternate health information all free. The only thing for sale is my NT CD's. Go to http://drbate.com and use the search engine to find tons of free info. --
Guest guest
Sounds like he would qualify for an IEP, if he doesn't have one. And public schools have to provide for children with disabilities from the time they're 3+yo.Ian Is your Pre-K a public or private one? Guest guest
It wouldn't hurt to point out that it is at least partly the teachers' responsibility to change behaviour. If your son has a diagnosed condition, then the school has to work with that.  Is your Pre-K a public or private one?
