I am writing this with my left hand, as my right arm is broke and cast. I saw my ortho doc yesterday. I have a pretty red cast on. My choice. My nose is broke and I have a small cut on it. How the heck I got that I have no idea. My whole rib cage hurts really bad, same for my right knee, My ortho was concerned about my knee, but it is just badly skinned and bruised. I am just in a lot of pain. He gave me meds for it. I was having missionaries and two other people over for dinner. I had made a big pot of shrimp cocktail and had it in the fridge cooling, I had also made a big baked egg custard for dessert, The table was set, but I decided to swap out a stemmed glass for a regular one for my daughter. I had just washed a load of dishes, so I unloaded most of them and got the one I needed and headed for the table. I can only assume that I tripped on a rug. All I know is I was falling, got knocked out, kept coming to and going back out. Woke to see a big pool of blood and couldn't figure out where it came from. I knew my arm was broke and my nose was broke. I tried to get up and couldn't do it alone. I called for and when I tried to sit up I realized blood was pouring from my nose. She got me two paper towels, which it promptly filled. I managed to get up and called my oldest daughter at work and told her I needed her to take me to the hospital. She came and the rest is history. My fingers are numb.But that is what happened, and I am fine. I so wanted to go see Jo, but that will have to wait for another day. I can't swim, and that sucks. Oh well,,,,,At my age I am just glad I take the stuff for my bones. I could have been really hurt.
