Carrots, and this week's sprouting

Just a followup on the carrot topic: I finally (2 hrs ago) seeded some carrot

seeds on sure-to-grow (STG) pad on a tray in the auto-sprouter (EasyGreen). The

little critters can take 2-3 weeks to sprout; they may be bitter when they come

up but I'm looking forward to watching them. Will let y'all know if we get

anything and how they taste. :)

Their quicker companions in the auto-sprouter:

blue kale (Wilhite Seed) on STG (last year's seed but first try)

alfalfa

leafy spicy sandwich mix (Gurneys)

pea mix (Sproutpeople) with added mung, adzuki, peanuts

wheatgrass in tiny tray (not in autosprout) for cats

And just so everyone can have a little carrot-love, this page has some lovely

photos of record-making carrots (I'm sure EW has had some doozies too but no

picture here):

What do non-sprouting people do in the morning while their coffee/tea is

brewing? Maybe they rinse out socks or something. ;p
