Guest guest
yeah dad got terrible when he had the pneomonia and teh uti, but when dads bp got erractic we took him off of the lbd meds and his mind wasnt worse nor better, dad also chose to stop some of his meds, the thing i told him he he could stop any of hismeds except 3 of them, one being the bp pill, one being the zoloft (that helped with his mood swings and agitation) and at one point the aspirin later it was coumadin. the only hting we added later was the pain meds but he wanted to be comfortable, so he was in agreement. dads body gave up before his mind was totally gone, but he was alittle more talkatie and alert towards the end. hugs sharon m Date: 2005/10/27 Thu AM 01:06:27 EDT To: LBDcaregivers Subject: Re: Is anyone on who can help me tonight? Sharon, I know. Today he told me he wished they would take him off of about half of his meds and see what would happen. I would be afraid to see. His mind has been so good except for when he gets these stinking infections! Donna P. Welcome to LBDcaregivers.
Guest guest
Sharon, Messing with his meds is very scary for me because he has done so well. I am a little afraid to get rid of the Sinemet and Comtan because he has so much trouble moving and lately some trouble swallowing. I wonder if he would be able to swallow at all without it. He was so agitated before the Abilify and so depressed and not sleeping well before the Remeron. As far as the dreams, that is why he is on the clonazepam, for the REM behavior sleep disorder. I can't remember if her takes .75mg or 1mg. He is also on Exelon and Namenda. He takes Cozaar, Plavix, Metoprilol, Pravichol, Ditropan and Aspirin not to mention what he takes to keep his bowels moving. It is really a shame. Before LBD he took 1 BP pill and his Pravachol, that was it. That was only 3 years ago in Dec. Now look at us. Well, I better head to bed if I wanna be up to talk to the doctor's office at 9. Thanks for listening, Sharon. Take care. Guest guest
Sharon, That's how I feel too. I don't want to really mess with it. Dad is the one who hates taking them. He usually goes with what I say after we talk about it. He is pretty easy going. Thank you for always being here for me Sharon. hugs, Donna P. > > > > yeah dad got terrible when he had the pneomonia and teh uti, but > when dads bp got erractic we took him off of the lbd meds and his > mind wasnt worse nor better, dad also chose to stop some of his > meds, the thing i told him he he could stop any of hismeds except 3 > of them, one being the bp pill, one being the zoloft (that helped > with his mood swings and agitation) and at one point the aspirin > later it was coumadin. the only hting we added later was the pain > meds but he wanted to be comfortable, so he was in agreement. dads > body gave up before his mind was totally gone, but he was alittle > more talkatie and alert towards the end. hugs sharon m > > From: " Donna " <rt173nurse@y...> > > Date: 2005/10/27 Thu AM 01:06:27 EDT > > To: LBDcaregivers > > Subject: Re: Is anyone on who can help me tonight? > > > > Sharon, > > I know.
