Just to update all of you.

Dad is still hanging on. The hospice nurse is putting a catheter in him

tonight. His bladder is distended.

My meanie sister says she does not want him on morphine because she cant

understand what he says. I was ready to kill her! But luckily all my other

siblings agree and we are giving morphine as needed. His respirations were

up to 47 and very ragged. His lungs are congested too.

,

I went through some of the same thing when my dad was in the last stages of

cancer. My step-mother was afraid to give him too much morphine. All that

I could see was that he was in pain when he was awake. I started giving him

the morphine any time that he needed it. You are doing the right thing for

him!!

Hi , I am so sad that you are going through this after losing

your mum only a short time ago. I am happy for you that your sibs are

working together for what is best for your dad. Maybe your meanie

sister is just having a really hard time coming to terms with it all,

and will eventually find peace with your dads situation at present.

I wish I could say something brillient that would ease your pain, but

all I can offer is my support and prayers. You have them both, in

spades.
