Guest guest
Courage, I talked to my dad and they did an MRI to see if he had blood clots in his lungs, which he did. He thinks that an MRI is not radiation, I don't know for sure. Now he goes in and gives blood every two weeks and they test it and monitor it and can tell if he has blood clots from his blood. My prayers are with and good health for her and her baby. --- Courage wrote: > Hi All, > > say her OBGYN this morning (sorry I took so > long to post here but I was busy, busy, busy). He thinks that an MRI is not radiation. . . ****************** MRI is short for magnetic resonance imaging. Now my knowledge of anything scientific is minimal at best so you would have to look on the internet for an exact explanation of how an MRI works but I do know that no radiation at all is involved. carol

However, wouldn't an x-ray be potentially harmful for a pregnant woman??? Couldn't the radiation possibly harm the fetus? I could be all wrong about this but I was just wondering. . . carol
