Guest guest
Columbia-Presbyterian Neurological Center in New York City has a brain donation program. Don't know if they'll take from someone who wasn't a patient there, you can call . Receptionist can take your information. If you get a tape, hang on and listen to the prompts. One of them refers you to a brain donation voice mailbox. This is an excellent facility that does extensive research. My Dad is followed by his neurologist here. Guest guest
If you do call Columbia-Presbyterian, please post your results on-list. I really hope I can convince MY meanie sisters to allow my mom's brain to be autopsied after she dies; however, the one place I checked in Chicago (Northwestern ADRC) only autopsies brains of people who were seen by neurologists at that ADRC. Thanks! carol
Guest guest
First off, I have my e-mail account back in order again. Thought I had that problem handled two weeks ago. I did make that call to Columbia-Presbyterian in NYC regarding their brain donation program. The director of the program is Arlene Lawton, phone # . I got her voice mail and left a message. So now I'm just waiting for a return phone call. I will post all info I can find on this and any other programs I come across in trying to make this happen.
