Guest guest
I am sorry for your loss of your dad and so soon after your mom. I did want to tell you though (and I am not making this up) I DID see beautiful fireworks in the sky last night as I was driving back from Windsor. The Canadian National Exhibition sends them up around 10:30 pm and they were particularly stunning last night...now I know why. I think this is one of those " godincidences " that Sandie has talked about. After all, how on earth would you have known to say " fireworks " and have me here reporting that I did indeed see them...God bless you and take care of yourself through this sad time and remember to celebrate that they are now together and out of pain. Please drop by and let us know how you are doing from time to time. Kath in Toronto cathy maryfield wrote: Just wanted to let all of you know that Dad passed away on Weds 9/1. Guest guest
Hello , May God be with you and your family as they go through this period of loss. May you feel the sunshine and warmth in your heart of knowing that he is in a much better place and free from his troubled mind and pain. Remember the good days and forget the bad ones as he is now feeling joy. I wished I could be there to give you a great big hug as you are a survivor of this terrible disease and it is my prayer that you never have to deal with it again on a personal basis. You are to be admired for your wonderful efforts in your fight and my heart goes out to you and yours...Hugs...Patti > Just wanted to let all of you know that Dad passed away on Weds 9/1. Tonight is the viewing so it will be interesting to see how she reacts. It took her over an hour to call us back when we left the voice mail that said dad had passed. Guest guest
My mother had LBD and her and my dad were married 70 years. He died of a broken heart. So I stayed with the group for the support because I hoped I could help others that had LBD and were dealing with another LO who was dying too. It has been a rough couple of years but was able to survive and this group has helped immensley. Guest guest
noted: No we have not found peace with our sister. She has not even come around us. ********************* I have a feeling this will be the case for me and my two sisters after my mom dies. They have done so many awful things that it will be hard for me to ever feel really good about them ever again. For example, yesterday, my middle sister came to visit my mom. That was nice because she lives three hours away and usually visits if she comes here for work reasons but yesterday just came especially to see my mom. Anyway, they went out to dinner and I took advantage of the opportunity to see a movie!!! I got back before they did and went to the apartment of a building friend to do her a favor - stay with her while she took a shower in case she fell! I left a very large note on the kitchen table with this person's number so my sister could call if they got back before I came back upstairs and she did not want to stay with my mom. (It is not a good idea to leave my mom alone!) Well, when I got upstairs, there was my mom - undressed and in her nightgown to be sure - but all alone!!! I was not a happy camper!!! Anyway, it is so said and hard when one's biggest problems are not dealing with the person with dementia but with one's sibilings!!!!!! carol
