Guest guest
Hi all, I wanted to share some happy news as I always seem to be sharing down stuff. So here goes. Mum turned 81 yesterday and had a really great day. We had a family dinner out (if you can imagine) with my husband, our kids and my sister (the real one, not the one her crew created). Mum got all dressed up and was so happy to be the centre of attention. Mum's crew came with us of course, but apparently they sat at a different table. Luckily that was ok with mum, she was just having such a good time. I think all the activity, people, atmosphere and family were such a good distraction for her that she wasn't as " tuned in " to the " waves " as she ususally is. The food was great and mum had a really good appetite for a change. She usually eats like a bird. She enjoyed every bit, and even had dessert. We all took lots of pictures and had lots of laughs. I am so happy that she had such a good day, even the weather was nice. Today I feel so good, like I haven't felt in a long time, and it's because, for a good long while yesterday, it was kinda like having my old mum back. I will remember this birthday with smiles. Thanks for listening, I wish all of you a great happy day. .
Guest guest
It's so great that your Mum enjoyed her birthday so much...and you were able to enjoy it too. It really means so much to see our loved ones happy, doesn't it? Even if it is just for a few moments. Mom laughed last night and it made me so glad to see that. It has been a while. My Mom's birthday is September 11 and she will be 86. I pray that she will be able to enjoy our family get-together. I know it is going to be a lot more difficult getting her to my brother's house, where we are going for a cookout. My brother's birthday is the 9th so we always celebrate both together. Maybe she will have a good day that day. Bless you for making your Mum's birthday so special.... M > Hi all, I wanted to share some happy news as I always seem to be > sharing down stuff.
