Guest guest
Lodie, I fully understand where you are. It seems like just before my five year anniversary that the DS stopped working and I now have to be really really careful. I have tried checking if it was working by eating really greasy stuff and where it used to go running through. Now it doesn't do a darn thing. So I guess I have to just be good. I have gained 3-5 pds that I keep putting on and taking off. I want it off and for it to stay, but it doesn't and I hate it. It is funny that that amount didn't bother me in the past, but now it drives me up the wall, plus it hurts my panni scar line. So all I can say is we now have to learn to maintain what the DS helped us get off. Good luck. Pearl I am a 46 female and am 4 years out as of the 8th of march. I have done well but am concerned with some weight gain in the past few months . I am interested to hear and share feedback on continual successes or draw backs after all the hard work it has taken to get this far I don't want to go back to where I was. Thank you for allowing me this opertunity to network with others. Lodie
Guest guest
Welcome Lodie, I am 65 and my 6 year anniversary is April 15th. Weight rebound is something a lot of us fight. I've gained about 20 pounds of the 120 I lost. I'm trying to get it off, but it's not easy. Keep the protein up there. My weakness is sugar. I love sweets. I wouldn't have gained if I had ignored the stuff. Good luck and good health. Guest guest
Hey ladies, I'm only 2 years out but I recognize that I can pack it on if I'm not careful! I've followed the 5 lb rule on advise from another old timer.... she never let herself regain over 5 pounds. I've never let it go over 3, I'm so paranoid about regaining and I still have 15 pounds to lose! Sweets are my downfall as well. Low carb ice cream helps me some but I love my cookies. When I get the urge to bake, I eat some and the rest goes to 's work or to neighbors!! That way it's out of the house! Thanks for sharing, it helps to know we have support "out there"....lol To: DS_Friends_Keshishian Sent: Fri, March 26, 2010 9:09:59 PMSubject: Re: Just comming on board Welcome Lodie, I am 65 and my 6 year anniversary is April 15th. Guest guest
Than you for responding Bonnie irt sounds like you can understand my plight. I know I need to keep up with the protein but have such a problemsitting down to a meal and when I eat jerkry the sodium dries me up really bad. My biggest down fall is coffee . I crave the "HOT" beacuse I am always cold. Forgive the gibberish talk but I am not sur what to do when I dont want food just coffee.
