Hi,

Another avenue is the Fax...I agree the phone call is the 'fastest

and surest' method. I have written snail mail, sent faxes, and made

phone calls...Typically the emails receive an automated response vice

any personal type...most folks will tell you that email is not the best

method.

on.

this is cyberworld...nothing is safe...just like the real world

when you join a mailing list you make a conscious decision to join...and can

unsubscribe at any time if you perceive something going on you do not agree

with...

you can also protect yourself by using one e-mail address for mailing lists

and one for personal issues...

people post and sometimes someone might want to share something

personal...like the gory too personal for the list details of bladder

problems versus just a general discussion on-list and prefer to address the

person off-list to have a more direct and confidential exhchange.

..it is general courtesy that one NEVER posts privately sent e-mails to a

list...if this happens then the privacy of those who seek off-list

communication is seriously threatened.

if someone is asked to stop emailing by another list member off-list

....to use the list and waste bandwidth in an attempt to force a person who

wants no communication to listen to you...is not a correct use of mailing

lists.

hotmail is one such way to get extra e-mail adresses for free..I think I have

4 or 5 addresses...the number always changes...but I am who I really am, and

have been on line 6 years or so and presently am on 8 mailing lists and read

9 newsgroups and a few bulletin message boards on AOL.

all on-mailing list posts are marked as such that we receive from here, if

mail is from someone you do not know or want to speak to...click delete

voila problem solved

an e-mail box is just like a regular mail box...people can put anything they

want in in your in box and you can just click delete and go to the next...

you also have the ability to block domains from sending you e-mail or certain

people. It is very easy to do..

If someone threatens you with bodily harm it is an issue for your local

police. They can use the email and trace it back to the exact computer it was

written and sent on....

If I read the post correctly of the private e-mail made by Sara sent by Jane

, I seriously cannot believe such an issue was made over it at all....and I

have to thank Jane for how she has handled herself on this list about it.

She wrote what she thought off-list.

What she(Cheryl) wrote was something I saw as something that surprised me as

being a little " strange " ....

and I wish I could lie about this, but I know now I could have penned the

very same letter that wrote...Cheryls' post was bizarre....but I wasn't

the person it was directed too...so I just sighed and clicked next....

and BTW, a list moderator is not supposed to monitor private e-mail issues

unless this is stated when you join the list....and that wasn't stated when

we signed up for one-list

so noone here should be sharing private e-mails with anyone unless they ask

the person who sent it first for their permission to share....

Hi Ya'll, We are doing OK. Just busy. Hunt got his labs back today and his alt are 60, so they are up and little but his AST are fine. His bilirubin is also up (1.8) but I don't think either one is bad enough to get too excited about. I find it strange that his alp's are routinely slightly low. From what I read, with AIH seems it would be high. Low number seem point to malnutrition or protein deficiency (remember he si away at college, no telling what he eats), I will remind him to take his vitamins.

We have been real busy. Got back from Jamaica on the 7th. We got TWO hours of sunshine the whole time we were there, isn't that the pits? Also Don, the diving where we were was no good. Dive master even anchored onto the reef. That really set my hubby and Hunt off.

Well need to go,,Thanks for caring for all us

Hello anyone with PBS or anyone who knows anything about it:

My Dad has primary biliary cirrhosis. I am not sure I am at the right place.

I thought I would be able to talk to someone who has or someone who knows

anything about it. He is in the final stage and is not getting a transplant.

Can anyone tell me where to go from here?

E-mails

Hello everyone; I have only had 3 e-mails today. Is this the story for all of you or do I have a service problem? It is very unusual.

Hope all is well or at least comfortable for everyone. I am thinking I am coming down with a cold and if so it will be the first one I have had for a couple years. It has been much cooler here in Az.than normal and I hear of so many having sore throats and bad coughs so guess it would not be unusal to catch it, especially those of us taking immune-suppressants.

Yes, Leona, Today has been a very slow day for the groups' responses. Hope everyone is alright and just busy with other things today. Maybe everyone is having a fun day. That's what we can hope for...have a great day...Carolyn

I don't know that community college; I asked if you'd been to Chandler-Gilbert Community College (in Chandler, where you live) because I walked that site before the college was there, when it had recently been stockyards. My husband planned and designed almost all of the college, over the years. I think one building is by someone else. I'm very fond of the first, rose-colored building, especially. When it was built, about 15 years ago, there was NOTHING around and was designed to have the mountains as a backdrop. Now, it's pretty suburban there.

When did you become ill? I'm curious about the effect illness and the drugs have on one's ability to study. I know that some people in the group are in college. I find my memory has become bad in some very specific ways but not in others.

Leona, it sounds as if your family is awfully healthy to be such serious illnesses! Clearly, you people are good at overcoming obstacles! I don't know much about what Chandler is like now, but I have many pleasant memories of it years ago, when the CGCC campus was first being planned.

Hello Harper; I take 5 citracal throughout the day, 2 at a time. I was suspected of a liver disease in 1990 but not officially diagnosed until 3-97 at age 70. How long I have actually had it is difficult to say but the conditions that led up to suspicion by the Dr came about when I was under stress with my mother's severe condition and eventual death. Why then I do not know because I have had a lot of stress since I was 20. I have had 3 liver biopsies.

Have reduced prednisone this the 3rd time and I'm now taking 3.5mg.I have been taking azathioprine also for over 2 yrs. I am doing better this time reducing the prednisone by 1/2 mg at a time. I have been diagnosed with glaucoma during this time so use drops a.m. and p.m. At my age I never know what to blame, the ailment or the age. My husband and I bowl, golf and dance. People are surprised when they learn my age saying they would never have guessed it thinking I was 10 yrs younger. I have very little gray hair. I am about 20 lbs heavier since taking the medications and I am always very tired, even after 8hrs of sleep.Auto Immune diseases are common in the family. My mother had rhuem. arthritis suddenly in her 50's and died of kidney failure at 84. My sister 6 yrs younger than I has multiple sclerosis and is in a wheel chair.Hers was found in her 50's.

My dad was found to have Aplastic anemia at 90yr of age and died the wk after his 91st birthday. I have taken meds for hypothyroid since in my 20's.

As to taking classes I would not even try because my concentration is not good and my vision would not tolerate that much reading. The classes I took this summer at Chandler-Gilbert were computer classes and I really did not accomplish that much. We are now in a computer club at our Church and enjoy that more. I hope my message is not to confusing, as I re-read it seems a little jumbled.

Leona,

I thought your message was very understandable. I think it is great at your age to be learning the use of the computer. I just hope when I reach your age I am half as good as you. Hope you are feeling less tired and ready to go dancing. I wish I didn't have 2 left feet. Keep it up girl! Carolyn...Keep smiling. You never know who's life you will touch with a simple smile.

and all,

Seems like it might be best to do as you suggest. Just don't open any attachments. Perhaps we can warn new people when they come on board. We can try it and see what happens. If that doesn't cure the problem, then perhaps a computer whiz (which I am not) might have a nifty way to eliminate them. Good luck, Kurt

Hello to all-

I use Microsoft outlook and was getting

contaminated emails (or at least my virus program said so) almost every day for

a while.

Haven’t had any for about 1 1/2 – 2 weeks.

I hope we can continue on and just not

open any attachments, as suggested.

Seems to me we have two choices: Wait it out, hope

it eventually goes away,

and DON'T OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS.

Start a new group. This would involve a) setting

up a new organization, B)

everyone needing to reregister, and c) notifying

everyone who has us as a

reference site that we have changed our name. A

lot of trouble.

If you guys can stand, I would recommend, as Bush

says, " staying the course " .

Any thought?

Folks - as of this evening, only members will be able to post - That,

and the

restriction on attachments, should get rid of it
