I know it might be because I was born with a hip dysplasia. I would just ask you doctor about it the next time you see him/her. Also I have heard that there is a good supplement for joint health. ITs omthing like Glucose Chondroiten I know thats not exactly correct. Hope its nothing big! a

I remember this happening to someone else and for the life of me I can't remember who it was!! If it doesn't hurt, I wouldn't think you are hurting yourself. I know my ankles and knees pop from time to time. You may want to run it by your doctor just to be sure. It's good to hear from you!! Guest guest
Caroline, I have the same thing from time to time and don't have any pain associated with it. As long as you don't feel pain, you should be OK. Guest guest
Caroline I would like to share an experience with you and I don't know if it may be relevant. For me when my joints stop 'cracking' (without pain just a horrible noise) I know that they are getting restricted in movement (and usually go back for another bowen session). After I had Bowen therapy last year virtually all my joints have done this at some time, and I have noticed it in my therapist too, and I know that this is when my body feels the best, I have the fullest range of motion and movement just feels so 'fluid', often I have to try and 'crack' the joint to make it feel 'freer' so for me it's a good thing (once I got used to the noise!) Jill who's past 40 and doesn't think its anything to do with old age! > OK, Group....I need your advice.............. > > Recently when working out, my hips (ball & soccet joints) are popping. My hips did it before I had ever started Taebo. I really don't think it is age related. I am 29 and have had this since I was in my early 20's. I also have knees that grind sometimes they hurt. My orthopedic surgeon told me that I was wearing my cartilage out in my knees. I just thought my hips popping like that was something like my knees. My knees have been like that since early 20's, also. I'm not saying your problem is the same as mine. If it really concerns you I would consult an orthopedic surgeon.JMHO LeAnn

Guest guest
Caroline, the popping happened to me all the time when I first started Tae Bo, but then went away after a few months. But you've been doing Tae Bo for awhile, so that's probably not it. I'd say that if it doesn't hurt, you're okay, but if you get too concerned, you can always check with your doctor. Recently when working out, my hips (ball & soccet joints) are popping. It doesn't hurt...just really annoying feeling. Have any of you experienced this? I think my form is correct, so I don't think I am injurying myself. Is it just old age (pushing the big 4-0!!!) Any suggestions? Guest guest
Caroline: Yes!!!!! I have the same experience and I'll be 29 on the 16th of this month. It first started with a loud pop and then my right hip got really sore and I went to see my doctor about it. He told me to take it easy for a couple of weeks. He went on to say I was using new muscles and there was no evidence of a joint injury. I thought my form was correct as well, but when I attended a Tae Kwon Do class, I was told my weight was not equally distributed during the kicks. Specifically, I tended to lean over too far during roundhouse kicks. If possible, workout in front of a mirror to watch your form. I hope this helps!!!! It is refreshing to know I'm not the only one! :)
