Guest guest
Hello to All, I would like to know if anyone has heard of dual labelling for our children and if it is truly necessary to have so that the child can receive services through out their adult years. I was under the impression that if a child already had the autism label, they would be able to receive all of the services they needed under that one label. Do school districts here in GA receive extra money from the state if they get parents to agree to this or if the child has this extra label added on to their IEP, does that mean that the child is no longer entitled to any more evaluations? Is it also true that if the parent doesn't agree with the committee's findings, they can overrule the parents decision?
