Guest guest
Hi again, , I should really read all the posts and then respond but I get antsy - pantsy and plunge forward. I'm not too sure what you mean by "living on the canyon side" but Studio City isn't all that large. My brother-in-law lives off of Coldwater. When we do drive up to have lunch with him, we usually meet at the deli on Ventura. For the life of me right now, I cannot think of the name........it's my old brain...... I love their mushroom/barley soup ! Anyway, I do hope we can meet up when we return. MTX......hmmmmmmmm........I am down to five pills and I'm going to try to reduce one more this Thursday and see how I do. My own schedule ( haven't checked with my Rheumatologist) is one pill reduction a month. I hate being on it and I know it is bad for my liver. The reason I take it is because I started Enbrel and used it for a few months with no results and then my Rheumatologist had me take MTX along with it and it kicked in about a month later and I really feel so much better now. I had to stop taking both of them for about three weeks when I got an infection and "boing"....I was flat on my back again. So......something is working between those two. MTX made me VERY sick to my tummy taking all six (at the time) pills at once so our dear member, Tricia, suggested that I break up the dosage. I now take two in the morning, two at night and two the next morning. No problems with that schedule at all !! I've never had any other adverse reaction from it......no headaches.......no big time fatigue although I am very tired most of the time but I attribute that to Stills. I was tired before I even started taking MTX. Are you thinking of taking it? Aren't the night sweats amazing? I used to sleep on towels. I'd change them at least, four times a night. They were easier to throw in the washing machine than changing the sheets every morning. Everywhere my body touched, I'd have to have a towel there. I had a towel across my pillow, under my chin, under my boobs (sorry guys) between my knees if I slept on my side. It was just miserable. The highest my fever ever got was 104.5 and I crawled into a luke warm/cool tub and just laid there for a long while. This disease is the pits !!!!!!! I hope you find something that will start you on your way to making you feel better. Let us all know how you are doing. Give Stein a scratch and a pat..... ) Mi. Guest guest
I think you are thinking of Jerry's Deli. Very good. I live not far from there on Laurel Canyon and Ventura. Living on the canyon side means I live on the south side, going up the hill. I'm just getting into treatment options. Pred did not work, so the doc tried Enbrel on me next. Seemed to work, so we're going to see what happens in the next month with it. I'm going to be learning from you guys some other options so I can go back in armed with info! PS...Will definitely give Stein a scratch! > Hi again, , > I should really read all the posts and then respond but I get antsy - pantsy > and plunge forward. > I'm not too sure what you mean by " living on the canyon side " but Studio City > isn't all that large.
