Guest guest
Vicki...for less than a year of taking the Strontium and hydroxapaite I think that it pretty darn good results. The osteo drugs don't do any better.have side effects and build brittle bone. I'm convinced enough to keep on going with it. Hugs Jo
Guest guest
I'm with ya Jo. It's a good thing my bones improved because my next option was duct tape Vicki > > > Vicki...for less than a year of taking the Strontium and hydroxapaite > I think that it pretty darn good results. Guest guest
Vicki, It is great the bone loss has stopped. YEAH. I went to an endo who is 2.5 hours from where ilive (one of the closest to my home) and he has seen great results with Forteo in WLS patients. Most of the WLS pts he sees are gastric bypass as that is what is popular in the area. He was aware of the DS, although NOT as informed as I had hoped. The Forteo is a 2 yr committment of daily self injections and as bad as my dexa is I decided to try it. I am still in my first month and have not had any side affects yet. I am praying this continues. Endo doc said if we can stabilize the weight loss then we will focus on keeping it stable with other options. I have been getting my in Strontium for a awhile soI hope to kick butt between the two of them Ginger <>< > > > > OK their in > > 2008 2009 2010 > > L1-L4 total -3.5 -3.4 -3.2 > > left femur total -3.3 -3.6 -3.4 > > right femur total -3.9 -4.1 -3.8 > > > Been taking strontium 680mg about 7 months and Calcium hydroxapaite about 4 months. Guest guest
Ginger Keep us posted. The shots wouldn't work for me with these hands, but I will be interested how it goes My endo talked me into taking Boniva I only took one that was enough for me. I had bad muscle pain. So I'm glad all is going well with yours. Vicki > Vicki, > It is great the bone loss has stopped. YEAH.
