About twice a year I monitor my calories for a week. It keeps my eyes open. I

tend to use www.fitday.com It throw up a pie chart with my calories from Fat,

protein and Carbs. Also...what ever calories I consume from fat I just cut in

half.

How are you tracking your calories/fat/carb intake.

Jo, I eat about the same thing every day...I know boring but predictable. I eat a protein bar in the mornings for the fiber (18/11). It's the only food that keeps things moving, and each day I also have a bullet (45 grams each) the rest of the food I look up in a little pocket size book that I keep by the fridge. When I was a newbie, I measured things like cottage cheese and such, now it's all pretty much second nature.

So, my day is usually a protein bar, 1 oz bag of peanuts (13/4), a bullet along with lots of meat, tuna, cottage cheese, eggs and such.. It's not exact but real close. I also eat low carb breads and tortillas.

I tried using fitday (or maybe another one, can't remember), it seemed like a lot of work. Since I eat a lot of stuff with the portions on the container, I use that and just tract protein and carbs.

I'll probably try fitday down the road when I'm tracking calories and fat...

Eating About the same thing every day is actually a good diet strategy. When we

are predictable with what we eat we tend to stay the course. When we vary alot

we tend to Eat MORE. The variety makes us want more...eating boring...we tend

to eat till full and stop.

Since you are using the 45 gram protein bullets...could I suggest to you that

you don't consume it in one setting. Do 1/2 of it then a couple hours or later

do the rest. You give your body more opportunity to absorb more of the protein

that way. And it is more ecconomical to buy the 45 gram ones and split it.

Thanks for sharing your routine! I think you are doing fantastic!

Your right about the bullets. I start sipping it in the afternoon and usually finish it by bedtime.
