When Does Fill Kick in?

Hello All - I'm sure this question has been asked many times, but

would be grateful for answers from the experienced please. Yesterday

morning I had my first fill - 5ml in a 10ml Swedish band (boy was

that a strange sensation when it tightened). Anyway I had very

little to eat before I saw the surgeon and was hungry when I got

there but not hungry straight after. He told me to go onto solid

food immediately and eat only 3 meals a day - said I wouldn't need

the snacks, and to go back and see him sooner than 4 weeks if I felt

my restriction wasn't good. 2 hours after the visit I was hungry and

had a cup a soup, less than 2 hrs after that I had a full bread and

butter plate lunch (mini roast dinner), and noticed my eating had

slowed down alot, then 2.5hrs later hungry again and had a couple of

rice cakes. By dinner time I scoffed about 3 cups of food grazing

all night which didn't seem to be much different to my eating pattern

pre fill.

Have I read somewhere that for some people the fill doesn't kick in

immediately. I'm doing OK so far today and have called the surgeon

and left a message and received a message back to call him and get

back in to see him ASAP.

What are others experiences with fills please? I have not lost

weight for 4 weeks and anxious to get the ball rolling and did not

expect to be able to eat so much food yesterday or be hungry every

few hours. Before I make the huge hike back to see him, can anyone

please advise their own experiences.

Many thanks

Cherie
