Guest guest Posted February 8, 2010 Report Share Posted February 8, 2010 Deep sigh...oh you are such a pain!...(pinch, Poke) Basically the video says...if you have craving for sugar the only way to get rid of them is to stop eating/drinking sugar. It can be hard to do but the body will re-adjust and the cravings will go away. 1. No Sodas...ever...they are evil. 2. No artificial sweeteners..(yep that means no diet soda) a. Artificial Sweeteners will INCREASE your appetite b. it will increase your SUGAR CRAVINGS c. It will DECREASE your fat metabolism making it harder to lose weight. 3. Don't bring it home. Don't put sugar in the path of temptation. Don drive by the place where you get your milkshake fix...blah, blah.. 4. Eat Fruit. Fruit won't cause the SPIKES in your blood sugar. When your craving sweet, reach for fruit. Over time you will crave fruit instead of sugar. 5. Exercise...dang...no way around it. Exercise helps to balance the system. 6. Break the Emotional Connection to Sugar. For example...the box of chocolates at valentines makes you feel loved. The milkshake makes you feel happy. 7. Taper off. You either have to go Cold turkey or Taper off. If you usually feed your sugar craving with a candy bar..then only eat 1/2. The next time the sugar craving hits hard...only eat 1/4...The next time...a single bite....the next time...eat fruit! 8. Don't fall off the wagon. You are a sugar addict for life. Later on an occasional bite or two probably won't hurt. But start indulging more often and you will be a full blown sugar addict again. 9. Eat low glycemic foods....so your blood sugars don't spike...because anything that spikes...will fall. And when your blood sugars Fall you will crave sugar to spike it back up. Ok...that was the gist of the video.
