Guest guest
Sharon, I am the Donna you are looking for and will be happy to help in any way I can. By the way, in no way did you suggest anyone be used as guina pigs!! And I read all the messages. Donna R apology to all my lbd caregiver friends if i insinuated in any way or another that our loved ones should be used as guinea pigs for any of the medicines that elliot wsa talking about i am sorry. i merely wanted everyone to know that haldol and ativan are the ones taht many of us have had experiences with and the oether drugs on the list hadnt been brought up to teh board before. i am not a medical professional, however i am a professional patient, and may tend to come across as a professional medical personel, i have been a patient with over 20 surgeries behind me as well as caregiving for my dad. if i offended anyone by accidently implying our loved ones need to be a guinea pig please forgive me hugs sharon m Welcome to LBDcaregivers. Guest guest
thank you courage for the letter of support, and i am glad that i hadnt come across taht way, as i was very concerned that i may have been miscontrued. hugs and luck to you ps keep us informed on everything going on in your world hugs sharon m Date: 2005/10/21 Fri AM 03:35:21 EDT To: LBDcaregivers Subject: Re: apology Sharon, At no time did you suggest, imply, allude or insinuate that our LO's be used as guinea pigs for any of the medications not discussed on this board. I simply cannot allow you to apologize for something you have not done. I feel certain that in time Elliot to will come to understand that we caregivers have not just crawled out of cave and are indeed capable of investigating the various meds that our LO's have been prescribed - even meds that have not been discussed here. I value your medical and caregiving experience and my mother has benefited greatly from your input. Guest guest
Sharon: I never thought for a moment that you implied that our LO should be used as guinea pigs. Treatment for LBD is for the most part a series of hits and misses. Every drug is an individual gamble because no two LO's react the same way. Discussing various reactions to watch for, both good and bad has helped me enormously. Your personal input has been invaluable. I thank you for being here.
