Guest guest
Some people as they age become lactose intolerant and develop allergies. Like that's all we need when our bodies are starting to struggle enough as it is. Courage Re: Diarreha and LBD/Lactose? >I thought of this too, as I'm lactose intolerant. These are things our children usually wouldn't know about us as it's pretty personal. I can remember trying to diet on a milk based diet drink once before I found I was lactose intolerant -- not a good idea! I still have many things I don't tolerate and take 1/2 tab lomotil a day in the mornings just for insurance. I don't know if this is something an LBD patient could tolerate, but just because one has LBD doesn't mean the other problems go away. > > > >Courage wrote: >Is your LO or has your LO ever been lactose intolerant? >Courage > > > > >Welcome to LBDcaregivers. > > >

Guest guest
Hi Courage, yes my mum was having a great deal of flatulance and her doc recommended she may be lactose intolerant. This was several years ago. She switched to Lacteeze, lactose reduced milk and the cramping and diarreha subsided after a while. Since she has been in the assisted living place, all meals are provided and she is no longer getting Lacteeze for her coffee or cereal. She has had occasional diarreha and that may be why. Hope this helps,
