What does low homocysteine mean?

I ordered this test for a 46 yo woman who had a borderline vit b12 level, 306. Folate, 8.2  and methyl malonic acid, 158 are normal, homocysteine is low at 3.6 (n is 5.4-11.9). TSH- nild inc 4.65. I tried to google this but everything is about high homocysteine. I just ordered the latest copy of Interpretaions of dx tests. My old copy doesn't list homocysteine. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thx in advance.
