My wife and I are thinking about taking our 2.75 year old ASD son to the Georgia Aquarium. We are currently looking at 10am on Tuesday, 4-14 (although we are not locked in to this day and time.) If anyone has any tips or suggestions re the Aquarium (such as the best day of the week or time to go, etc.) I would love to hear them. Thanks,Mike Randolph

I always take my son during the week just in time for the aquarium to open.It is not many people around this time. However around 11:00am it get crowded. I ask one of the staff on the aquarium what other time would be a good choice to come with my son (autistic) they say around 4:00pm and 10:00am they don't have many people as other times. We always start with the touch pools first right on your right when you come in at the Aquarium. This way he can touch the stingrays and bonnethead shark without fitting for space with other people. After that I like to go to the tropical diver on the other side. We go to the Aquarium about 10 times during the year. Take Care!

HI,

We went and had a ball. It did get really crowded after 11:00 but luckily we got there early and saw most of the exhibts before lunch. The movie for us was worth it. We were not sure how our son would do but he ended up loving it. Some one told me that the seals can get kind of loud and to avoid that area. We did see the seals but on the day we went the seals

stayed in the water.

Hope you have a blast

We went last week. The seals exhibit has been removed due to

construction and now you can go on a small tour (check at the Customer Service

desk )and see them at the back. It was not noisy. It does get more crowded from

Friday-Monday so try to avoid that ad try to be there before they open. Also buy

your tickets online the day before you go so you don’t have to line up for

tickets that morning with everyone else.
