Guest guest
Hi all, J has had diarrhea for a week!!!! and he has thrown up 4 times. I took him to the Dr. yesterday and he told me to give J an anti diarrhea med. He said he didn't have a fever but J's poo is very watery and sometimes green and smells real bad. What can I give him to help him get over this? Thanks alot!!! Guest guest
This may sound funny but I have a girl with autism who frequently has a runny stool and what thickens it up is bagels. Bread..in other words. I don't know that there is anything but it running its course that will help him get over it. But I imagine he will get sore from going to the bathroom so much, so I would give him the anti diarrhea medicine to make him more comfortable. Guest guest
Lois, that sounds pretty serious. There is a shot (cant remember the name of the med) that they can give at the hospital to stop the vomiting.I know Cam had the stomach flu and was throwing up everything including meds so they had to do something for him.I took him to the ER.Also, you all need to drink gatorade because that will replenish your electrolytes that you're losing . Be well.. Stacey > > Thanks Debby! Stomach pains today. I sure hope we fill better for tusday. At least for JJ.
