Hello everybody, just a little update on my grandson’s OT visit yesterday. It went very well and he loved it. A new therapist worked with him and he was ok with her, just loves the one on one attention and does really well following all her directions. First she has him go to a board and list what they will do and then they follow the list. Yesterday she had him list “obstacle course†and she set up a bunch of things he had to do in order. That was really fun for him.

He likes to bring his tri-pod model he and his mother built and is very excited because they are planning to paint it. It is out of the movie “War of the Worlds†and he is very proud of it and likes to explain it had 90 pieces and explains each part, the three eyes, the ears, where it pees, etc. Yesterday I felt like teasing him a little bit and asked him it could fly. And he sternly told me no, like how dare I tease him about it.

Then I said, well does it use those big long legs to jump like a sand flea? And he rebuked me sternly and said, “No! My tri-pod is not a sand flea!†Like how dare you make so light of it.

After that I stopped teasing, to him it is a very serious thing. Oh yes at one point I acted like I was afraid of it, like it would bite me, and he said, “No grandma it is not real.†Like I was an idiot.

I love him so much and it is such fun to go with him and his mom each Thur., the teacher has us go in and sit and so it is all very comfortable.
