ok frustration has kicked in....again!! AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!

I have spoken with two seperate people in the surgery center at Balboa Naval Hospital today. They got my 'referal' for Dr. K and have decided that I should see a surgeon in the Navy Hospital instead. They INSIST that they know all about my surgery and can take care of ANY and all problems that I may have....even though I have ALREADY been seen there and played that game since October of 2008!!

sigh. The doctor I was seeing there is now gone. Now I have to see a new one that just came off deployment. (I wonder what kind of bariatric surgery they do in afghanistan??) IF he DECIDES that I can not be taken care of at the Navy surgery center, THEN I 'might' be 'disengaged' and allowed to be seen by Dr. K or Dr. Z at the Delano or Verdugo offices. That is a BIG "IF", they have about a .5% of all requests allowed to disingage from the Navy Hospital.

The Navy Hospital does the sleeve (gastrectomy) and if the patient does not lose the correct amount of body fat within a year or two, they SOMETIMES will perform a 'switch' procedure that they call a 'bypass'. The two nurse folks I talked to were supprised to find out that I had a Gastric Reduction with a Duodenal Switch, gallbladder and appendix removal, all in the same surgery. They both seemed to think it was rediculous to do such a thing and acted almost as if they did not believe me at all
