Guest guest
Hi, Jan. That's interesting about only Haldol and and Ativan being the only drugs given. Very surprising, actually. I do think it would be a good idea to be aware of the names of the relatives of Haldol and Ativan in case a doctor says he wants to prescribe something besides Haldol or Ativan. In my case, yes---for depression and such, drugs other than Haldol and Ativan are prescried. In fact, when I was laboring under the misdiagnosis I'd been saddled with, people I knew would discuss with each other what drugs they were currently taking: " Oh, right now, I'm on stelazine, melaril, ativan and cogentin. " " Oh, really? My doctor has me on lithium, navane and xanax. " I do wonder why at least a few " adventurous " doctors have not tried one or more of the many relatives of Haldol and Ativan on our LO's...
