I am using it. It has a lot of upfront

work because one can design it to work like your mind does instead of fitting

into a template. Once that is done however, it works quite well. I have

forgotten the name but there is a national accreditation process that at least

screens out some of the worst software programs. Support

has been good as well. Brown, M.D. Albuquerque

I am running Praxis (network) plus TotalMD (network).  So far

some install issues but customer service has been awesome.  It takes some time

to setup something that I decided to do as I go.  It does work as I think and

it is pretty quick, lets me create full notes in minutes.  It also allows to

input all those PQRI codes with a click.  For data mining it is beyond belief,

I can find any data I want for the practice.  I have full integration with

Quest and LabCorp and so far it is seamless.  The TotalMD integration (for

billing) is seamless, after I got a hang of the setup it has been too easy to

be true, using GatewayEDI as a clearinghouse that allows for auto posting and

daily real time billing.

If you are solo it has a scheduler that may be enough.

Issues, integrated online e-prescribing won’t be out until

December, can’t wait.  Quirky install for the network version but, on the

other hand, their support service has been up to the task.

The best part is, as mentioned, that I make it work as I

think; I don’t have to adjust myself to an EMR this one adjusted to me;

next version is supposedly even better.

Any other questions feel free to contact me off forum.

I am helping a doctor who is bailing on

Praxis after almost a year of working on it.  It requires a very thorough

setup.  Maybe setting it up to figure out how it works, then wiping the hard

drive and setting it up for real.  He is also frustrated with the billing

interface.  The document management could also use some work as you cannot look

at a document and the chart at the same time.  He gets tech call backs in the

next day.  For whatever a third hand report is worth.  He is planning to move

to Amazing Charts.

Although I like the EMR aspect of Praxis,

we could not ultimately get the interface with our billing software (Medisoft)

to work so we have do double up on information and do each separately.  A

downside for sure.   Brown, M.D. Albuquerque

FWIW, I use a Praxis billing interface written by the two companies themselves,

rather than yet another vendor, and it works for me.

I am using TotalMD with GatewayEDI as a clearinghouse and it is

seamless, actually until I started getting paid I thought it was too good to be

true.
