Melody, a Vitamix is the SINGLE BEST purchase I have ever made.  If you do

decide on one, let me know-I have a contact who can get a better price than

anywhere you will find online, and free shipping!   You would NOT regret the

purchase!  (and it would shoot you STRAIGHT from kindergarten to collage!)

I have watched videos for 30 minutes and I know many of you have this

item. This is the cats pajamas for me. Don't know which model. Don't know

anything about it. But it seems to do everything.

I am going to get one of these things if I have to wait years to do this.

By the time I get one I'll be a little grayed hair old lady.

Refurbs are great!  My Kitchenaid is a refurb, and I was told that refurbs are

run down the line twice, to ensure there are no further problems.  Often, it is

not even a mechanical problem that it is returned for-just buyers remorse, but

any returns are run down the production line again, then sold at a huge

discount.  Often they even have the same warranty!  The Vitamix has a seven

year warranty, and I worked that out to be about 19 cents a day!  I bought my

first Vitamix over 20 years ago at an auction for 27 dollars.  I have used it

daily all 20 plus of those years.  I recently treated myself to a shiny new red

one with all the bells and whistles. and it was well worth it!   I also

acquired another older Vitamix in a trade with my neighbor-she traded me her

rarely used Vitamix for a floor fan!!  When I got my new one, I sold one of the

old ones for 275 bucks on Craigslist, so they hold their value VERY well!!!

My daughter has one and it is unbelievable! She got a reconditioned one. The

Vitamix people sell them, but if you call, you can get the latest reconditioned

model that they have. They threw in a lot of freebies with it too for her. She

paid so much less than a " new " one. Her reconditioned one is brand new...no

difference that we could see. The lady said that they do get returns, I think

mostly because people just want the free trial to try it out, but don't want to

really pay that much for a blender. So, they get returns. They are individually

checked out, and have the same warranty as a new one. Do I sound like I want

one? Oh, yes, really bad! Only two years to retirement age, probably many more

than that to afford even a reconditioned Vitamix though!

still trying to decide if the vitamix is better than the Ninja or the one that

Melody, dear lady,

Either or I can point you to the owner of the Vitamix_Enthusiasts group

who is a VM demonstrator and a wonderful person. She would be the one to speak

with re. the purchase of a VM. You can sometimes get an excellent deal on eBay.

Don't be afraid to buy a reconditioned one - they have the same 7-yr warranty as

the " new " ones. Let or me know if you would like to get in touch with Lea

Ann (the person I'm talking about). None of us who has a VM is willing to give

it up - a truly great addition to your kitchen! Keep saving your pennies - once

you use your very own Vitamix, you'll never again even think of what it cost.

They really are the cat's pjs!

I have a Ninja too, and it works GREAT....but it is no Vitamix.  The Vitamix

actually makes SOUP-HOT, STEAMING SOUP...then you can turn around and make ice

cream in it 2 minutes later-gotta LOVE that!  The  Chinese knock off that

Montel hawks is a piece of garbage.. I had the opportunity to evaluate one and

was not impressed.  .My mother's broke 10 days after the 90 DAY warranty ran

out!  90 days???  Seriously???   Who sells a high priced machine and only

gives you a 90 day warranty-total crap!    Vitamix stands behind their

products 100 percent.  If you have ANY issue, they are but a phone call away.

And they are MADE IN THE USA!!

If you sold an old one for $275, how much is a new one? I'm almost afraid to ask

DO NOT get the Montel one! My niece did (over my advice to get the VM).

A couple months later it quit working and she got her money back from the store

and did what I advised in the first place...got a Vitamix!! There's only one,

folks, and VM is it. I have two and have bought one for each of my sons - all

refurbished and not a second's trouble with any of them. RUN, don't walk,

etc.....

The new one is around 379 for a refurb, on up to 600 with extra containers and

such.  If you don't view this as " a blender " , and see all that it can do, it is

A lot of people also like the blendtech instead of the vitamix, I’ve had my

vitamix for 25 years, it’s the old stainless steel one.

it. But it seems to do everything.

I am going to get one of these things if I have to wait years to do this.

By the time I get one I'll be a little grayed hair old lady.

A lot of people also like the blendtech instead of the vitamix, I’ve had my

vitamix for 25 years, it’s the old stainless steel one.

I shall definitely let you guys and gals know when I'm ready to get one. I'm

still trying to decide if the vitamix is better than the Ninja or the one that

I got the Waring Xtreme 3.5 horsepower for $299.00 at theblenderplace.com. This

the model I have: Waring MX1000XTX - XTP - XTS . I love it! It grinds grain to

flour, make ice cream and most especially, green drinks!
