Guest guest
Dear Group, I have been sprouting quinoa in a plain old jar. I love it because it only has to soak such a short time and is ready to eat in only 2 days. However, I got derailed on Christmas and let mine go for about 5 days and sadly I liked it even BETTER. I like it with blueberries and either yogurt or cottage cheese. But I also tried it with milk and stevia. We ordered an Easy Green and a Geo terra cotta for Christmas, but are still waiting for them to arrive. Rather than get an aero garden I am going to convert a 55 gallon drum so that I can also grow herbs. We have an acre lawn, so space outdoors is not problem. I have the white rectangular sprouter. The green round sprouter, the Easy Sprout, the hemp bag sprouter, the 3 tray tall wheat grass sprouter and the tube sprouter. I have been sprouting off and on for over 30 years. I use the different types of sprouter for different types of seeds. For years, when the kids were little, I did wheat sprouts, the kids thought that was candy. I also dehydrated my homemade fresh yogurt, they thought that was candy too. Back then I did alfalfa, clover, radish and cabbage. That was it. I made a stir fry with sprouts a while back and it was bomb. I used lentil and garbanzo, soy, fenugreek and I wasted my broccoli and mustard because they did NOT like the heat. They just turned to mush. But I learned. I cannot wait to try the dill everyone is raving about. I atttribute my health and the hugeness of my children to sprouts. Now I am making wheat sprout and soy sprout flour for pancakes, tortilla's and biscuits. Got my dehydrator trays to make it all happen. Right now I have broccoli, mustard, quinoa, amaranth, lentil, soy, garbanzo, fenugreek, and many other sprouts going at all stages. I am living on sprouts. I am waiting for my beet seeds and my easy green sprouter and my geo clay sprouter. I cannot wait to grow milk thistle and dandelion, horseradish, aragula, dill, kale, flax, chia, you name it, I am gonna grow it and thrive.
