As you may or may not know, the Easter Seals Georgia Coalition was awarded the grant for the Champions for Children with Exceptional Needs Initiative. This program is designed to work specifically with families who have been denied funding through the Beckett Waiver. As a participant in the Champions for Children Program, each family will work directly with a Coordinator to identify and prioritize the needs. Coordinators will work diligently to assist families in obtain any items or services that would be deemed most essential to maintaining the family’s integrity and existing continuity of care. Some services of consideration may include but are not limited to: optical wear, durable medical equipment, respite care, prescription assistance, diapers, referral linkage and, therapeutic care services.
