March Meeting

February 15, 2008

I sure hope that Dr. K and you all come to the March meeting. I have been

on the board for six years plus some and I am coming down for my three year

checkup. I think we will get in on the 10th, have the appt. on the 11th and

home on the 12th. I had my labs done on Valentines Day and today saw my

cardiologist. I had to go to him originally because I had to have medical

clearance

to have both my knees replaced at the same time. It was time to renew my

med's so he made me come in. I asked him why I was still having to be on BP

pills when most people in my weight loss group got to stop all med's. He said

my BP was not weight related but probably genetic. He had a term for it but

I forgot it already. He adjusted my med's and said in six weeks I may be

able to be down to one pill. Yippee!

I bought two more pair of Gloria Vanderbilt stretch jeans in size ten short.

Thanks Sharon for the heads up on those jeans. They are cheap and they fit

great. I still have to shorten them. They were out of light blue but I

will still look for them. I tried on a bunch of relaxed fit jeans and I could

go down to an 8 in them but they were still ballooning out around the hips and

legs. That is weird since I have big legs and am waiting for a date to get

a leg lift. I am waiting first for my labs to get in and then to see if Dr.

K thinks I should wait or get them now. I just had a TT and brachioplasty in

October. Now that it is paid for I could swing the lift. Funny how we get

dissatisfied with our bodies once something gets fixed.

Anyway, I am rambling. Sorry. Steve and Tammy you had better be

available for a reunion. I think we will stay in Bakersfield since it is

closer

to a lot of you guys. I am getting pumped up for this trip.
