Guest guest
Hi everyone. My daughter is taking Zoloft and like many of you, every time she exhibits a behavior, I analyze it (no peace!!!) to determine if it's her OCD (or other mood disorder) coming back, Zoloft or just her own personal temperment. Right now, thank goodness, she's doing ok. Daydreaming: She's always been somewhat of a dreamer. She enjoys writing and thinking up her next story and the minute something is either too difficult or too boring -poof- she's daydreaming. But up until this year simply calling her name brought her back and she's maintained pretty high grades. Recently, she needs incentives to stay focused and almost always forgets at least one book for homework. It frustrates her. A few times she'll say " I didn't know you said that. " Of course, kids do things like that, but I'm on high alert for any behaviors she exhibits. I just read the pamphlet for Zoloft again and it lists " poor concentration " and " not thinking normally " (????) as a common side-effect of Zoloft with children. Has anyone ever experienced this? , NJ
