Guest guest
worm free, just not pain free. I am okay walking or laying down, its the getting up and down that hurts like heck. Oh well.. I knew it would. Everyone said it would hurt more than the DS, and for me, so far, it has been much more painful. The getting up and down part. But I have mesh over almost my entire stomach area, so that is a lot of it. A smaller one I am sure would not be so bad. Also the fact that a piece of intestine had adhered and he said I had a lot of scar tissue. So I think I am doing pretty darn good. I slept for 9 hours last night. I am eating well. So, all in all, I am doing great. I am getting up and walking around my house, as I know walking decreases pain, or that is what Dr. K. told us all along. So I was doing laps yesterday while I was talking on the phone. Any other suggestions for things to do to lessen the pain. It is just in the area of the mesh. I was told to expect that for at least two weeks. Dr. K. had told me I would have 2 weeks of hell, and I would need at least 6 weeks before I could drive back to TN. My surgeon said the same thing. He told my brother that the hole that had intestine through it was the size of a very large grapefruit. There were areas around it that had to be covered because they were not completely broken through, but almost. I was just lucky he said that I got it taken care of when I did. As usual, I wrote a book. NO Worm. I am fine and that is all for now. Hope everyone else is fine and no worm. Pearl **************Feeling the pinch at the grocery store? Make dinner for $10 or less.
