Guest guest
Hey folks, After a long time lurking, and in no small part thanks to the collective advice of this group, after 16 employed years, I left the realm of the employed and opened my own solo family practice in beautiful southern New Jersey this month. As you all know, it has been a challenge, but a rewarding one. I've done my building, installing, hiring, enrolling, credentialling (UGH!), and, for three weeks now, actually provided care to patients. My only problem seems to be in getting my Amazing Charts to export the way I want it to so I can upload to Office Ally. My original plan was to export from AC to EZClaims and then to OA, but a version of AC with practice management is slated for release in the next couple mos and I hate to purchase, install, and learn one software and then have the better replacement only 2 or 3 mos later (AC is saying by the end of the year). Had my phone training with Office Ally today and the rep told me they have lots of people using AC successfully, but when I export i've got the following problems: cant get AC to have OA recognize the " signature on file " boxes as a yes, cant get middle initial or sex of guarantor/insured if it is not the patient, and getting npi placed in box 32 at the bottom doesn't happen. Obviously all of these issues make going AC--->OA a non-starter. But, I know others are doing it, so I'm hoping someone in IMP-land has made this work. Otherwise my plan be is to use EZClaims. Thanks again, Art Treiman, MD Treiman Family Medicine
