Hey Gang,

I figured this title would grab a quick to want to cut my head of click to see what it was all about.. Anyway, I was zoning out eating my very late lunch when I found this wonderful article about the 10 best paying careers for women.... Don't miss #6 as doctor and the reason's why... No offense but the feminzation of all fields has always lead to a down turn in relative salaries and unfortunately I think Primary Care docs are no exception to this sexist trend... Check of the difference between men and women in percentage of salaries earned and why.... Women docs are not even averaging $100K in 2009! That is just insane!!!! And so remember when we read those averages of how much the "average" primary care doc makes that there are women docs barely scrapping by at way below $50K a year probably for many reasons from part time work to working in all sorts of back water clinics caring for those nobody else cares to care for.... (did I

get the correct amount of Cares in theres???)

This goes back to our distaste for the AMA and its "Old Boy Network" protecting the status quo for their specialist brothers... Just gotta love the way we in America devalue anything that has to do with the actual caring for other human beings...
