Guest guest
I have been open 14 months. In that time, I have had close to 10-12 patients with the same name, which we track on our charts. I even have one name that is repeated three times! However, when we submitted our claims for some of these same names, we have recently found Illinois Medicaid paid us for the wrong patient! My biller contacted Medicaid and they said to write a letter stating the wrong payments, etc. and enclose a refund check for the payments and rebill for the correct patient's visitsI'm of course fine with investigating the remaining of my same name claim issues and refunding the state for any mispayments. However, has anybody else ever had this issue. Is there ANYTHING else I need to do? Obviously, this is a large clerical error that we have now fixed with the biller. Thanks to anybody that can help!
