My Dad tried Trazadone three different times with terrible day-after results. Others in this group say their LOs do fine on it. You won't know until you try. For the last couple of weeks my Dad has been taking Ambien 5mg with great results. Although this drug is not supposed to be taken long term, my Dad says its working so well that he is willing to take any risks associated with it. (He actually smiled today!) Am I being unreasonable?< No you're not unreasonable, but some of our LOs resist stimulation because it causes them too much confusion. Group activities really bother my Dad because the voices are not distinquishable and just sound like noise.
