Guest guest Posted March 1, 2009 Report Share Posted March 1, 2009 You know I was thinking of the people that has been discussed lately, and how they did things that they knew, and we all know, are not things that were appropriate for us as new DS patients. And when we speak of them, are you aware of the fact that we speak of them in the past tense? Because of their reckless behaviors they are no longer with us. Our most recent loss that really hit home was our DS sister we lost because of alcohol. When our white binders tell us not to do certain things, there is a reason for it. Plus we have to use common sense and not take any chances. We all get hernias so easily on our own it seems, I know that this one started out as a soft area immediately following my last surgery. I didn't do anything to cause this hernia, I just didn't have enough skin to make a good closure. So I hate hearing people take any chances with their health. We have gone through so much to get the DS. All I am saying is please do as the doc says and don't cause yourself anymore problems. Enjoy the new you.
