Guest guest
Steve, I do the fish oil capsules also. Seems to me that I heard or read something derogatory about Flaxseed but I could be 100% wrong. I'll wait for others to reply to your question. Mi. Guest guest
Hi Steve, I take Flaxseed plus Borage oil gelcaps every day. My sed rate is within normal limits, but...I can not say for sure if the flaxseed oil has anything to do with that. I take it as it helps to keep my body "regular' as ...(not to be gross) but the Fentanyl patch seems to constipate. Trust me, I have had this disease for a long time, and in the severe form. I'm wondering.. have your doctor/doctors suggested a small dosage of Methotrexate? Not sure how much Flaxseed oil one would have to take to affect the inflammation part of the disease. Maybe sam lee would know. Hoping you feel better soon Steve! from Wisconsin, Tricia -- Flaxseed Oil Hi all ... Has anybody tried Flaxseed oil to treat inflammation? I use Fish Oil capsules and they seem to work very well ... but I've also heard Flaxseed Oil seems to be the most promising natural antinflammatory for our illness. Guest guest
Hi Tricia. Thanks for your reply. I have heard of Borage Oil ... but I thought I would add the Flaxseed in first to see what happens. Do you take Fish Oil caps? I do and they help morning stiffness quite well. What doses of Flax and Borage are you on? I bought Flaxseed oil in liquid form today ... it's supposed to be cheaper than capsules. Have long have you been on these capsules and although you have no evidence do you think they have helped you get your blood results down? Steve Flaxseed Oil Hi all ... Guest guest
Hi Steve, I take 1-3 capsules a day..600mg. each of Flax & Borage. Not sure if this has helped with the inflammation or not. I've been taking these for about 2 years. Usually I end up taking only the one a day...so I wouldn't think they are doing much for the inflammation...but maybe they are! Yes, I did try many different kinds of the Fish oils...for myself..they did no good, and seemed just too yucky. Glad to read they help you. I think others take fish oil too with good results. It seemed that being on the MTX pills for about a year and then the injections for another year put the "dragon" in it's place..which is in a "corner of quiet" most of the time. I had to go off the Meth not because of bad blood tests (in case that's what Blindone thinks) but, because I just started to become nauseated and my doc didn't see fit to up the 1 mg. of Folic Acid..so I quit the Meth. Wishing you the best Steve! Wisconsin, Tricia -- RE: Flaxseed Oil Hi Tricia. Thanks for your reply. I have heard of Borage Oil ... but I thought I would add the Flaxseed in first to see what happens.
