what about just labeling ea. dresser drawer w/ a piece of tape or something? socks, undies, etc... To: autism-aspergers Sent: Tuesday, December 27, 2011 6:08 AM Subject: Storage organization units for adults with aspergers

Our daughter is 24 and lives away from home. She has been provided 2 dressers and a closet for her clothes. However she doesn't use the dressers as it's very hard for her to get organized as she's a visual learner. Is there any website or store I can direct her to in order to find and organizer for her bedroom? Thanks for any and all your help, Rhoda

If you are willing to replace the dressers, you could get the large clear drawer

units that they sell at office supply and discount stores. I purchased most of

mine at Wal-Mart and use the for the children's toys. Attractive deep shelving

might be another option- like bookcases. That way she could fold clothes and

still see them. She could use baskets on the shelves for the smaller items.

I actually used to label her dressers when she lived at home, but it turned out

to be too overwhelming as there were too many drawers with too many choices in

spite of the labeled drawers. Rhoda
