Interested in hearing what CFS means for your son???? Does he sleep more hours? Is your son on stimulants that might combat this issue? Just curious? My son needs help with regulating his sleep, and he often seems lethargic, but doesn't sleep but at night. To: autism-aspergers Sent:

Does anyone on this list have a child with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome?

My son (15, Aspergers)

has CFS, and I'm certain there is a link to Aspergers. I would really

like to compare notes

with someone in the same situation--- especially because it's often

difficult to tell where his Aspergers

ends and where the CFS begins--- there are overlapping problems. In

particular, it makes dealing

with school accommodations more complicated.

Thanks--

Are you aware of the Neuro Immune Disfunction Syndrome? The theory clearly states that there is a link between CFS and ASD. Sent from my iPhone

No....but my daughter had a CFS-like syndrome in the winters of eighth and ninth grade. Both times she spent three months at home because she was too sick for school. The first time the doctors thought it might be mono, the second they confessed to being frankly baffled. Fortunately after that it did not recur, although she has had some minor recurrences as an adult (she is 26).If wasn't CFS or fibromyalgia, because it didn't last long enough. But the symptoms did match up.Andromeda To: autism-aspergers Sent: Tuesday, December 6, 2011 10:32 AM Subject: Chronic Fatigue and spectrum disorders

I'm curious---- did your daughter have any other strange autoimmune type

problems as a younger child? My son had all sorts of weird things

going on between ages 3-7.... migraines, joint pain, allergies,

reactions to various medicines that were

supposed to help... then everything cleared up until he turned 13.
