Hi ,

I live in Palm Springs. There are a few of us that live in the L.A. area and will probably respond to your question about finding a good Rheumatologist. What part of L.A. do you live in? If you can't find one that you like, I do have an excellent one in P.S. if you'd care to drive that far.

What medications are you taking now? You need to start taking some aggressive meds right away.

What are some of your ailments? Do you have swollen joints......sore throat....fevers......night sweats.....sore muscles........ any of those? You are lucky you've been diagnosed so quickly to start treatment.

Welcome to this group. We are pretty smart here, mainly from experience so ask any questions you want. We all stick together like glue so it is great that you found us. You'll learn a lot

Hope to hear from you.

Mi. Carmen (I'm in Michigan at the moment)

Welcome . I am Kirk from Pennsylvania. I am 33 and was diagnosed on April 8th this year after my third stay in the hospital. My major symptoms started in January, but I may have been dealing with this a lot longer, I am not sure yet.

You have found a great support group. I can't give you much insight into this disease as I have not had it that long. Many others here have had it and have tons of information and advice to share. My experience with the disease itself is a disaster, but each person is different with this one.

Sorry you have this, but welcome to the group. Kirk.

: Greetings

My name is I am 26 and I was just recently diagnosed last month. My sister found this site and suggested I give it a look. Since I am very new to everything any news of anykind is welcomed. I am a little concerned about what to expecct in the future. To what degree will I have flare ups and how frequent. I am from Kentucky but live in Los Angeles and need to find a Rhuemy out here to see. So if anyone is in or around LA I would be grateful for any news or just another person to talk to about this

Thanks
