Whether or not a food is itself acidic is not a predictor of whether, once

in the body, it makes the body acid or alkaline. The byproducts of

metabolism of the KT are alkaline, thus it has an alkalinizing

capacity. Same idea, lemons and other citrus are also alkalinizing in the

body. So the answer is no, kombucha tonic does not promote acidity in our

bodies.
