Hi Leanne

You won't get any relief with Vaseline; it is just a protection that won't really do much. The lips do not have oil sebaceous (oil) glands and so they are always the first to dry out. You should try upping your oil intake with good oils like olive, flaxseed and omega 3. If you can't manage the tablets because they are too large you can try having oily fish like tuna in olive oil or salmon. Fish is excellent protein too and it is so bandster friendly. How about salads with olive oil or flaxseed oil? All that will take a bit to come thru in your skin (about 28 days for the cells to come up) and it will reflect on your skin – especially your lips.

Thanks Nic

I'll give it a try. For the past two months I have been taking Silicea gel for healthy skin and nails. I have noticed an improvement in my nails but so far it hasn't done anything for my skin, I was going to give it another month to see if it does anything for my skin. I don't have a problem with tablet size, what type of tablet would you recommend?

Leanne.

Omega 3 fatty acid tablets or a cold pressed fish oil like cod liver - the capsules tend to be rather on the large size. That is why I warned you. I guess they would dissolve easily in the pouch but they might be a blocking problem for some.

I have heard the silica is good for the nails, glad you are finding it beneficial. You would typically find the oil caps excellent for your skin too - a combination of the two would do no harm.
