Never knew that before. Learn something every day! Is it possible to make a sour scoby from a sweet one and vice versa? I thought the sweetness turned sour--the KT-- the longer you let it brew. Any comments for the experts? Carrol Dear So glad your Apple Cider Vinegar was pasteuized. No more worries. My original two cultures came from California. I named them, " sweet ones, " and, " sour ones. " to tell them apart. My friend's daughters gave one to my son first. He made KT with ginseng and green tea. It took away his psoriasis, the scales but not the scars. He thoght that the caffeine was keeping him awake so he gave his scoby to me. I named it, " my sour ones " . of course, all his scales came back, on forehead, hands, elbows. I wish I had suggested that he use decaf tea and he might still be brewing. Psoriasis is the result of skin dividing too fast, I think. My adopted son is half Cherokee and hafl British English. I don't know if some nationalities are more prone to psoriasis than others. My friend also gave me my own socby which became my, " sweet ones. " I am so sorry I lost , " :my sour ones, " because I thought it was specific to psoriasis having mutated for his. Blessings on you all. LOve. MArge.
Guest guest
Hi Carrol, I believe Marge was saying that " sweet ones " and " sour ones " was just her way of distinguishing between her two different strains - the names had nothing to do with their taste. You're right that the longer you let KT brew the less sweet/ more sour it gets. Welcome to the wonderful world of KT. rr19390123@a... wrote: > > Hi all, > > Sweet and sour strains?
