Guest guest
I think someone else posted holiday worries here recently...here we go again. I have an NT 5 yr old daughter and a 7 yr old son with Aspergers. On Christmas day we are driving 6 hours to stay with relatives for 4 nights in a small 3 bedroom house, 6 adults and 3 children. The kids' grandma (my MIL) seems to think the problem is parenting, not Aspergers. Since the diagnosis this summer there has been no acknowledgement of understanding or validation that accommodations are needed. Every visit has always been a struggle to keep everyone calm despite the tension and change in routine. Routine is so critical. I don't know how to proceed so that things will be better. I am exhausted trying to prepare and it's not even Christmas yet. Sent from my iPhone
