Once you discover the stress releasing effects of exercise, exercise becomes addictive! It really works. Last night I had horrible sinus congestion and a sinus headache from all the rain we are having here. After going to a kickboxing and power yoga class, I felt great! It works every time for me. Guest guest
<< I know that exercise is great for reducing stress, but it's not second nature to me yet...at least I didn't relieve my stress with ice cream, like I normally would!>> I never got just how much I rely on exercise for stress-relief until last week. I LOVE my job as a Mama but with 6 kids during the day (my 5 plus my Grandaughter) and 4 of them 4 years and under - I get a TAD bit stressed out some days. I had the two little ones sick last week and my house was trashed, I hadn't even time for a real shower they were so clingy. I was SO stressed out, I didn't have time to work out in days. Once they were well, I tried and got half-way through a tape and baby stopped me. Next day I tried again after a REALLY bad day and she did it again. I lost it :-( Hubby was sleeping since he works midnights on the weekends at his second job. It was 9:30 at night and I didn't even get dressed that day until I put on my workout clothes. Anyways - I woke him up, handed him the baby and RAN out the door. I just ran for a good 1/2 hour. I didn't care where I was going or how how fast or anything - I just ran to feel better. I came back home feeling VERY fresh. In the next few days I learned that as I struggled to get back into my routine, I DEPEND on my exercise as stress relief. I'm glad you were finally able to get up and exercise. It's one of those things that you might not feel like doing at the time, but you ALWAYS end up feeling better after your done! The more you do it, the easier it becomes to 'just do it' and not let the thoughts in your head get the best of you I hope your week gets better (or that it's over quickly for you....LOL)! Guest guest
That's great !!! Wow, the live basic two times in a row!?!? That is a tough workout!! And don't you feel so much better after reliving stress w/ Tae-Bo and not that ice cream!!! Darcy who will openly admit though that the ice cream got me last night (ff at least) not because of stress though, just cravings > My job has been CRAZY lately, plus I've run into some hiccups for my > wedding in October. I have been really stressed out this week and my eating has been disastrous! On top of that, I haven't been able to go to the gym because both of my kids are sick. Of course, I could be doing Tae-Bo here at home, but I can't seem to get myself motivated enough to do it! Anyway, my point is that we all go thru periods where we don't workout for whatever reason. That is totally normal Soon, things will get back to normal for you! Hang in there!
