Guest guest
Hi My Mom is on Resperdal 1 mg twice daily for her hallucinations. But it doesn't seem to be working. They did go away for a short while but are back again. She goes to the neuro in Oct and her psychiatrist on Sept 1st and I am hoping they find something else. She isn't sleeping as well now as she did at the beginning of Resperdal. I know it is one of the no no drugs and it frightens me. She has quite a few problems medically and I have to ask the druggist all the time if her meds agree with each other. She has been a God sent. Anyway that is the experience we have had with Resperdal. Jacqui
Guest guest
Hello my new friends! I'm scheduled for the GRDS (open)Monday, Nov. 19th. I just received a letter from Dr. K's office stating that the fees we went over previously does not include any hospital charges. I should have thought of that sooner, but silly me, I overlooked it. I'll be calling the hospital tomorrow, but wanted to know if you all would be willing to tell me what the hospital charges for the surgery and the stay. How long did you stay in the hospital? How much assistance did you need when you got home? Were you able to wipe yourself after you got home after a BM? (I'm currently around 310 lbs - will that make a difference?) I guess those are all I can come up with for now. Thanks in advance! Jolene
Guest guest
They used to charge around $12,000 and it included the anesthesia. It is probably higher now. I could wipe my butt one week after surgery and it was easier at that point than pre-op. No, I didn't ask anyone to wipe for me. JO made the mailman and the postman wipe her butt. I decided a near miss was good enough. lol I was in the hospital six days I think. I had to be pulled out of the recliner by my 17 yr old son who was my only helper, hence the butt wiping situation. Shudder! Oh, and I had the DS open. That is because I had a giant hernia, my whole abdomen was already open. Also, I really, really, really wanted Dr.K to be able to clearly visualize all my innards. He wanted to fix my hernia at the time of the DS, but he ended up waiting 18 mos for me to lose weight and then he did a tummy tuck. I love how I look! Guest guest
My Sweet Husband will take the week after my surgery off work to be here with me. I promise you, I will NOT be alone! I was just concerned about having him wipe my butt. I love the man, and I know he'll do absolutely anything for me, but I don't want to ask him to unless I have to. It's good to know that I'll be able to do it for myself, with practice. Thanks for the advice! Jolene > You ABSOLUTLY MUST have help when you get home. Guest guest
My son took 100mg twice daily of Fluconazole (generic for Diflucan). I believe mg. strength is the same between generic and name brand. He was 12 when he started at that dose. We were well into our second week before we started seeing benefits but after that it helped him more than anything else we've tried. He was on it for 45 days and we go back when necessary for yeast overgrowth. Gayle > > My son's DAN doctor is new to becoming DAN doctor. Guest guest
-Thank you Gayle. We also have the generic I should have said that. Did you do more probiotics than we are doing? We are doing 1 probiogold per day. I would love to know more about your story when you have time.
