Guest guest
I am board certified by the ABIM and ABP. When I try to explain to people what " med-peds " is, I often end up trying, " It's another way of doing family practice. " Everyone seems to get that and people are quite satisfied. Re regional differences, LSU in New Orleans did not had an FP program when I trained, so the Med-Peds program was pretty strong here. I sm sure that 10 years out, the ongoing experience and individual intelligence, judgment, and skills define a practitioner more than the specific training. I am so limited on procedures I can do, I often envy the FP training experience.
